01 Nov suPPPort introduces the concepts of Circular Economy at Interfilière – The global leading trade fair for intimate apparel
The 2-day Interfilière Trade Fair in Shanghai once again provided a platform where intimates and swimwear professionals in China and from 20 other countries converge. It is the world’s leading trade fair and international sourcing event for the lingerie and swimwear industry and is considered a pioneer in launching the latest trends for intimate apparel and bodywear. The trade fair is hosted in multiple destinations around the globe by Eurovet in this segment. Over 200 local and international Exhibitors from 7 sectors such as lace, fabrics, embroidery, accessories, machinery and OEM/ODM were present at the event, with a focus on sustainable innovations. Interfilière Shanghai included an Innovation Forum this year, showcasing sustainable and circular fabric options. suPPPort’s very own expert for sustainable innovations and circular economy, Marina Chahboune, was invited to introduce the principles of circularity for fabric and product design at the fair’s Industry Conference. To a wide audience of visitors, she shared insights on how to realize a holistic approach to circularity, to create multiple and extended product cycles, design out waste and consider the moment of disposal already within the stage of fabric development and product design.
Furthermore, she demonstrated suPPPort’s 4-Step action plan for creating products that are fulfilling the requirements of circularity, which also included the introduction of different types of cycles and suitable materials.
