12 Dec A new year at the MEDC
At the beginning of November, the new and third year at the Modern Ethnic Design Center, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, has successfully started. With 17 participants between the ages of 18 to 40, the project has reached its goal of offering the course to a versatile group of dressmakers, tailors and designers. The MEDC will train its participants in the development of a collection including the application of proportion, unity, repetition and the effect of style and appearance in fashion design.
The curriculum and qualification focuses on sustainable and ethical standards , which are aligned with branding strategies and quality management. The third year at the Modern Ethnic Design Center will conclude with the participation at Bazaar Berlin – a German trade fair for Fair Trade-certified and sustainable, as well as natural and ethically produced goods.
